Nolan Meats at the AMIC Meat Industry Awards

Nolan Meats has won the Processor Excellence Award for 2014 at the recent Australian Meat Industry Council annual state presentation dinner. The event attracted a wide range of meat industry personalities covering processing, value adding and retailing who came from all areas of the state to attend the special night in Brisbane. The whole Nolan sales and marketing crew were accompanied by their partners and enjoyed the night chatting and discussing all things beef with their many loyal customers. More than 250 guests enjoyed a meal of slow cooked beef rib on the bone that was followed by presentations and entertainment.

The award was proudly accepted by Jim Bougoure, International Marketing Team Leader. Jim was thrilled to receive such a hotly contested prize as it follows on from similar success in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Competition rules had precluded Nolan from being eligible for the award for an extended period after the three years in a row honours in the mid 2000’s. Jim said the success reminded our valuable customers that the Nolan Team is consistent and always striving for best practice. He went on to say that the award is recognition that as a cohesive team we are “delivering pleasurable meat moments...every time!”


Further success came at the same event when Nolan Team Member Peter Ryan was excited to accept the Processor Outstanding Achiever of the Year award. Peter has been instrumental in the hugely popular Nolan Meats display in the RNA Show Meat Hall cooking demonstrations that is a key attraction at the “Ekka” held in August each year.

Peter thanked the Nolan Meats team members and AMIC who had contributed to his success and said that the customer focus from the whole team was such an important reason why it was such a hit with families who visited the display which is held in conjunction with AMIC. Peter said that our customers were always keen to gain a better understanding of what underpins consistently tasty tender beef.
