The Brisbane RNA Show is always a busy time for Nolan Meats and this year was no exception.
CITY MEETS COUNTRY
Nolan Meats in association with Ray White Rural and the Breakfast Creek Hotel hosted their annual City Meets Country Function in the beer garden of the historic Breakfast Creek Hotel on Wednesday the 10th August 2005.
This year’s event was another resounding success with over 450 attendees doing just what the name suggests, city folk meeting country folk. It was a great way to kick off the Ekka activities.
CHAMPION LED STEERS
In keeping with Nolan Meats’ commitment to serving prime quality beef the company purchased the Grand Champion Led Steer at this year’s RNA Show, a Black Limousin steer exhibited by the Dalby Agricultural College. The steer was purchased on behalf of the Breakfast Creek Hotel with Venue Manager Sam Gullo in attendance to oversee the purchase, so if you are after champion beef with the Nolan Meats quality stamp head to the Breakfast Creek Hotel.
Nolan Meats also purchased the Middle Weight Champion Carcass, an Angus Charolais X steer exhibited by A & J Ball from Singleton in NSW and it has been boned and cuts will be distributed amongst our valued retailers.

Another Nolan Meats associated restaurant also receiving an award was well known Brisbane Restaurant Cha Cha Char who took out the “Meat and Livestock Australia Best Restaurant Awardâ€.
Finally, James Street Butchers Block and Grill who use Nolan Meats products exclusively took out the “Retail Innovation Awardâ€.
Nolan Meats are proud to be associated with all these winners and would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the winners on their success.
BEEF INDUSTRY DINNER
Friday night 12th August 2005 saw over 620 Beef Industry professionals including Beef Producers, Processors, Agents and Retailers treated to a magnificent dinner at the Brisbane Sofitel Hotel. The dinner was hosted by the Beef Australia Committee.
Congratulations to the committee who took time out from planning their Beef Australia 2006 Expo to stage this function which featured Nolan Meats Private Selection on the menu.
Guests were delighted by the Private Selection Rib Fillet expertly prepared by Troy Bedford, Executive Sous Chef for the Sofitel Brisbane. From all reports the quality of the fillet was acclaimed ‘Absolutely First Class’ by even the harshest of critics in attendance.
