Nolan Meats Takes Out Processor Excellence Award Back-to-Back

The Annual Australian Meat Industry Council Awards were held at the Riverside Reception Centre in Brisbane on Saturday evening the 18th of September, 2004. Nolan Meats again took out the Processor Excellence Award for the second year running. This award is judged on a number of criteria including:

  • Staff Training Support – including level of involvement in training, attitude of staff and staff competency levels.
  • Contributions to the Meat Industry – including involvement in industry forums, contributions to the future of the Red Meat Industry and feedback on information and surveys.
  • Compliance to Industry Rules & Government Regulation – including quality of QA systems in place, attitude of management to regulation compliance and willingness to make necessary changes.
  • Plant Processing – including presentation of plant surrounds, gardens and buildings both inside and out. 

Company Director Terry Nolan speaking on behalf of Nolan Meats said, “we are thrilled to receive this prestigious award but the thanks must really go to each and every member of the Nolan Meats team who actively participates in building and maintaining our strong quality system”. 
 
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Nolan also cited the support of long term customers as the platform on which the business had successfully grown saying, “it is the repeated patronage of our business by many loyal customers that makes such recognition possible”. He went on, “This award actually reinforces the previous decisions made by those valued customers. We thank you for that support”.
